Abstract

Ontario, Canada's second largest province, is nearly twice the size of Spain. Its total area is 1,068,580 square kilometers. About eight million of its population of over ten million live in cities. In the north, it stretches to Hudson Bay while to the east and west lie Québec and Manitoba. In the south, Ontario is on the same parallel as northern California. There it shares four of the Great Lakes with American states.
