Abstract
- Office-based laryngeal procedures have returned to popularity driven by technological advances, convenience, patient preference, and economic factors. The pulsed dye laser and the pulsed potassium-titanyl-phosphate laser are photoangiolytic lasers that are well suited for treatment of laryngeal pathologies such as recurrent respiratory papillomatosis, dysplasia, and vascular lesions. The advancement of distal-chip nasolaryngoscopes and lasers allows safe, effective, and cost-saving treatment of these laryngeal pathologies in the office setting. This article describes the author''s method for performing office-based laryngeal surgery with angiolytic lasers. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
