Abstract

Prince Edward Island is mostly less than 60 metres above the sea level. It is flat in the West, hilly in the central area and gently rolling in the East. The province consists of green fields and forests with red sandy soil. Many estuaries cut into the coast. Sand banks and dunes around the North coast block harbor mouths and allow small boats to enter.
