Abstract
- This essay discusses the spread of the SlutWalk movement in Toronto, Ontario in which women argue that sexual violence is the responsibility of the perpetrators and not their targets and claim the word slut as a strategy of solidarity with all women. The author reviews blogposts about SlutWalk and its relationship to beliefs about sexual violence toward women. The author notes the renaming of SlutWalk as Stomp and Holler to focus on women's resistance to male violence and silencing of women.
