Abstract
- The article discusses habitability in ship design, citing the program initiated in Colombia by the Science and Technology Corporation for the Development of the Naval, Maritime and Riverine Industry (COTECMAR). It describes habitability as human-centered ship design focused on enhanced internal conditions for the comfort of people onboard. Discussed are the processes, challenges, and outcomes of the COTECMAR design program.
