Abstract

The article focuses on an economic analysis comparing pipeline only and combined pipeline and liquefied natural gas (LNG) scheme for moving natural gas from Turkmenistan to China. The parameters for the comparison are presented involving transportation costs, techno-economic data, and dry natural gas as basis. Long-distance natural gas pipeline transportation systems are examined including the results of pipeline diameter optimization. Cost of a new LNG plant is discussed with re-gasification.
