The article discusses the importance of the Italian filing and search system Corpus Epistolare Ottocentesco Digitale (CEOD), a digital file of 19th century Italian letters. The author emphasizes the importance of the CEOD as a research tool for philologists, lexicographers and experts in linguistics. The website www.unistrasi.it/ceod is supplied by the author, which provides access to digitized 19th century Italian epistolary archives.
