Abstract: The article presents research on writing culture and linguistic changes in popular Catalan letter writing covering a period from the 18<superscript>th</superscript> to the 20<superscript>th</superscript> century. The author reports on his analysis of a corpus of Catalan letters using diacronic and diatopic geolinguistic methodologies.
