Abstract

The article discusses a research study on the health benefits of the production of vitamin D through exposure to solar ultraviolet (UV) radiation for ovarian carcinoma while it is considered a risk factor for cataract. The population-based study include 1,101 control women subjects and 709 women with primary invasive ovarian carcinoma. Results showed that skin cancer and history of type 2 diabetes are significant predictors of cataract risk.
