Abstract
- This article presents a study on the use of a population model for Piping Plover to maximize the value of the data from Barber et al. for conservation of the species in North America. Barber et al. used direct quantifications of the effect of specific conservation efforts, given that demographic data for endangered species are rare and often imprecise. Their data shows a trade-off between increased productivity and reduced adult survival.
