Abstract
- The article discusses the biggest challenge faced by the hardwood industry executives in 2012 was pricing pressure in which new products helped to give the category needed. Wood flooring increases share despite the average manufacturer selling prices more than double the flooring industry average. The industry faced, slow to flat recovery in new home and replacement and model sales and increased raw materials costs.
