Abstract
- The article offers information on the medical condition of mesenteric ischaemia, which is a group of disorders characterised by a symptomatic reduction in blood supply to the GI tract. Mesenteric ischaemia can be categorised into two types, acute mesenteric ischaemia (AMI) and the less common chronic mesenteric ischaemia (CMI). The condition is more common in females and those with a history of coronary or peripheral vascular disease.
