Abstract

Abstract: Eco-sensitivity analysis is the premise and basis for the planning of regional ecological environment, while the protection and improvement of the ecological environment is the key to the regionally sustainable development. With the GIS technology and by using the factor-overlap method, the eco-sensitivity of the New Riverside Center of Nanjing City is thoroughly analyzed in this paper by selecting 4 categories of regionally representative factors. Then this paper classifies the study area into absolutely sensitive ecological sub-areas, high sensitive ecological sub-areas, generally sensitive ecological sub-areas and low sensitive ecological sub-areas according to the level of eco-sensitivity. It further proposes measures and suggestions to regional protection and construction, so as to provide reference for the development of local urban and rural construction and environmental protection. The results show that absolutely sensitive sub-areas and high sensitive sub-areas account for about 42.8% in the total area, indicating that the eco-sensitivity of the study area is generally high.
