Abstract

The article presents an overview of the case SAS Institute Inc. (SAS) v. World Programming Ltd. which has been referred to the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU). It mentions the complexities of case that involve the application of copyright law to the field of computer software programming. It further claims that if the CJEU will concede on the interpretation of High Court, such will be a good news for small players in the industry.
