Pulsatile secretion of luteinizing hormone and GnRH and its relation to pause days and egg production in hens exposed to different wavelengths of light.

The article presents a study which investigates the effect of light wavelength on gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), pulsatile secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH), and its relations to hens egg production. It states that LH were analyzed by radioimmunoassay (RIA), and data on egg production was subjected to correlation coefficient analysis. Result shows that the high level of LH and GnRH will reduce the occurence of pause days and egg production was modulated by light wavelengths.
