Abstract

Researchers found that the optimal fertilizer treatment for alfalfa production in the hilly areas within Chongqing, China included not only N, P, and K, but also Mg - at a frequency of once every 2 or 3 years. While not impacting yield, inclusion of Mo in the balanced, optimal treatment may result in cases of higher crude protein and enhanced palatability of alfalfa forage. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
