Abstract: The article reports on the announcement of Turkey regarding its application of economic sanctions against the Syrian regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. It says that the sanctions application was due to the call of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) to Syrian authorities to accept the initiative of Arab League in an urgent meeting in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. It adds that the Syrian National Council (SNA) welcomed the economic sanctions which the Arab League has imposed on Syria.
