Abstract

The article presents a study that examines the impact of nitrogen (N) source nitrous oxide emissions from clay loam soil on strip-till (ST) corn production system. It discusses how nitrous oxides are produced from soils through nitrification and denitrification processes, which significantly contribute to air pollution. It outlines the method of the study that observes the effects of the controlled-release polymer-coated urea (ESN), stabilized urea, as well as urea-ammonium nitrate that contain nitrification and urease inhibitors. It notes the result of the study, which indicates that N fertilizers can mitigate nitrous oxide emission in strip-till corn plantation.
