Application of Dimension Analysis in Modelling Isothermal Chamber.

Isothermal chamber is a new kind of measuring installment used to test pneumatic component flow rate characteristics. Building the mathematic model of isothermal chamber is important to predict the performance of isothermal chamber and manufacture it properly. Two mathematics models were established based on the lumped parameter and the dimension analysis theory separately. The test result proves that the model based on the dimension analysis theory can better predict the characteristics of temperature variety of isothermal chamber during the discharging period than that based on the lumped parameter and is more simply and easy to use in engineering applications.
