Abstract

Experiments were performed to study the dynamic dehumidification performance of desiccant wheels coated with silica gel and lithium chloride respectively, using two estimate indexes: dehumidification amount D and dehumidification coefficience of performance DCOP. It is found that the lithium chloride wheel needs a somewhat longer time to reach steady state than silica gel wheel does, but the D and DCOP of the former one are higher than those of the latter. The effects of various working parameters (regeneration temperature, process air flow rate, process air inlet temperature and humidity) that have the influence on the dehumidification performance were also investigated.
