Abstract
- The article examines the seroprevalence of Q fever among the dairy cattle in the Konya province, Central Anatolia, Turkey. It cites that 40 of the 322 cattle sera were seropositive in the Immunoflurescent Antibody (IFA) test. It reports that no pathological history, abortion, dead or weak offspring or infertility in the 40 seropositive cattle when samples were drawn. It adds that no tick was found either on cattle or in housing areas upon examination. It notes that the IFA test is considered to be the reference method in serologically diagnosing Q fever.
