Abstract

The article focuses on testing the bioequivalence of test intramuscular and reference subcutaneous routes of cattle in terms of administration of substances florfenicol and flunixin. The study was done through 10 healthy cows that were randomly distributed to 2 groups of a 2-period crossover design, where they were given dosages of florfenicol and flunixin and have their blood extracted for sampling 5 days after the dosage. Results of the study show that test intramuscular and reference subcutaneous routes of florfenicol dosage were not bioequivalent, while flunixin dosage was bioequivalent due to its even kinetic disposition through 2 routes of administration.
