Abstract
- The article focuses on a study on the development of contamination resistant ceramic cement for arctic applications. The researchers suggest that chemically bonded phosphate ceramic cement that are prepared on site could be contaminated by leftover Portland cement, which could affect the applicability of ceramic cement in arctic conditions. Freeze temperature depressants, such as salt and alcohol, are used to allow cement hydration and placement.
