Abstract
- The article discusses a study on the simulation of free surface flows involving solitary breaking waves and their interaction with coastal structures. The researchers combined detached eddy simulation (DES) and two-fluid free surface capturing solver to develop a model that have both water and air in the computation to account for the effect of air entrainment caused by overturning waves. In the study, Rayleigh-Taylor instability has been considered for laminar viscous flow.
