Abstract

The article discusses ways in making food waste as a resource in Australia. It focuses on the yeast spread Vegemite, which has achieved and sustained its status as popular symbol of food waste product in the country despite the public's resistance to recycling and reuse of food products. It investigates how the process of producing Vegemite from food waste coordinates with contemporary moves towards recycling food waste, ensuring environmental sustainability and food security.
