Abstract
- The article offers the author's insights on the way artists draw pictures out of observation and sensitivity to form, line and angles, and light and shade. It mentions the difference between drawing an image from one's memory and from close observation, as well as the analysis and retention of basic shapes that is developed through practise. It also discusses the observation of line in drawing and the technique in observing light and shade.
