Abstract: This section offers news briefs related to oil and gas industries. The increase in the demand for worldwide oil demand in 2011 was due to economic growth and the cold weather in the northern hemisphere according to the "Oil Market Report" released by the International Energy Agency. Qatar's Energy Minister Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah has been promoted to chief of staff. The petroleum and natural gas land sales of Alberta rose to 2.38 billion dollars in 2010.
