L'Afrique noire comme paradigme fondateur des sciences sociales françaises et francophones du développenient (1920-2010).

The article discusses social science research in African colonies as the basis for French and francophone social sciences of development. Topics include the invention of the colonial model of development in the period between 1920 and 1960, the shift toward territorial studies and human geography, and ideological and programmatic strategies developed in the period between 1950 and 1980.
