EMPLOYMENT OF MEDIA IN AN INTERNET SUPPORTED LEARNING PLATFORM WITH MADIN SERVING AS AN EXAMPLE.

The German ministry of education and research (BMBF) is supporting a joint venture project entitled "Development of a peripheral Internet based Teaching-Learning Environment for the mathematics teacher education". In this context the University of Würzburg is taking part in a Teaching-Learning Environment called "Didactics of Mathematics via the Internet" (MaDiN) which provides supporting material for lectures in the field of mathematics teacher education. MaDiN is going with lectures for the mathematics teacher education. In this paper, structure and contents of the system are described and illustrated by examples from the MaDiN module "computer in mathematics teaching". In particular the pre-structured way in which the web pages are released for the students is described as well as the interactive components that are used and how multimedia is employed.
