Abstract
- The article describes a study on the recovery level from an injured spinal cord after venous transplantation of bone marrow mesenchymal cells (BMSCs) with consecutive injections of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). Stem cell transplantation effects using BMSCs have not been favorable since they do not secrete BDNF. The study results revealed that 3 to 5 weeks after transplantation, transplanted BMSCs differentiated into neuron-like cells as well as neurological function and pathological damage improved following treatment.
