Abstract
- The article discusses research a study that examined the psychological features of demoralization, according to the Diagnostic Criteria for Psychosomatic Research (DPCR), particularly to psychological well-being, quality of life and psychological distress in medical patients. Findings reveal impairments in all the dimensions of quality of life in demoralized patients. It also shows that demoralized patients have lower psychological well-being and more severe anxiety, depressive symptoms, somatization and hostility.
