Abstract

The article presents a study on the impact of dietary levels of chromium picolinate on the carcass traits of broilers. The researchers used 120 unsexed day old broiler chicks for the experiment, which were bought from Venky's Hatchery in Dehradun, India. They analyzed the proximate composition of the drumstick meat and breast thigh of the birds including the ether extract, crude protein and moisture contents. They found that chromium supplementation reduced the crude protein content of the breast and drumstick meat.
