Factors influencing in-vitro embryo production efficiency of caprine oocytes: A review.

The article discusses a research study on caprine oocytes and factors that influence their in-vitro embryo production efficiency. It reviews the collection of oocytes and their sources, in-vitro maturation (IVM) of selected oocytes according to selection criteria such as cumulus cell investment and morphology of cytoplasm and effects of donor age. Findings indicated impairment of embryo quality with compromised expression of genetic information from spermatozoa and chemical substances including calcium ionophore capacitting spermatozoa.
