Abstract: The article discusses the idea of the semantic field and the expression of time in language. The author analyzes The Moving Time Metaphor and The Moving Observer Metaphor in Turkish language dialects of the Oguz group, including Turkmen Turkish, Turkey Turkish, and Azerbaijan Turkish, presenting and analyzing sentences using the expression of time. Other topics addressed include other time metaphors such as the Time is Matter metaphor and scholarship on time metaphors by authors including George Lakoff, Mark Johnson, and Ronald Langacker.
