Abstract

The article presents a reprint of the article "Osama's No Martyr, But the Man Prevailed," by Walden Bello, which appeared on Inquirer.net. In October 2001, the U.S. launched the war against the Taliban movement to capture bin Laden. Several analysts consider the terrorist attacks in the U.S. on September 11, 2001 as a move to get the country's involvement in a war of intervention in the Middle East. During the administration of former U.S. president George W. Bush, he has flaunted global support for the country's campaign against terrorism.
