Abstract
- The article explores on the reputation of Irish people as being compassionate, in which they are always part of relief contributions when disasters befall their parts of the world. It states that their compassionateness is a product of their strong Christian faith that has characterised them for centuries. However, it mentions that people become less caring and less compassionate due to compassion fatigue, feeling powerless and increasing living standards.
