Abstract

The article examines focal therapy for the treatment of prostate cancer. Focal therapy has been used to treat cancers in the breast, kidney and to some extend prostate. Studies show that focal therapy is not recommended for prostate cancer because of its multifocal and bilateral etiology. Tumor focality is determined by how the specimens of radical prostatectomy were processed as some sampling errors might occur.
