Abstract

The article reports that Cotswold Geotechnical Holdings Ltd. has been fined with 385,000 pounds fine for breaching health and safety regulations. The company was convicted under the new Corporate Manslaughter law and it is believed that it would act as a clear warning to the construction industry. The firm was found guilty of causing the death of junior geotechnical engineer Alexander Wright on September 5, 2008.
