Abstract: This section presents news briefs on the eyecare technology industry as of January 2011. It reports that the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) has launched a Facebook page to inform more people about its upcoming conference to be held in Manchester, England on May 26-29, 2011, while the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) will offer a free health brochure that contains advice on how to treat and prevent eye allergies. Fera Pharmaceuticals also announced that it would bring back the Paralube Ophthalmic Ointment to the market in 2011.
