Rise Above History: A Manifesto for More Manifestos.

The article offers the author's insights on writing manifestos and the history of Canadian writing. The author explores the political implications of the Canadian authors' literary techniques and styles, wherein writers conceivably developed new ways to promote and communicate their ideological and aesthetical positions. He also discusses the vitality of contemporary writing, whether new forms or old forms, in relation to the modes of time; and the historical value and definitions of manifestos.
