Abstract

The article discusses the biology, feeding patterns, habitat and migration of salmonids. Salmonids have the reputation for adaptability, resiliency and sheer will to live. The fish are known to have strategies to adapt to their environment. While coastal salmonids live on flashy waterways for richer ocean feeding ground, young salmonids, on the other hand, take advantage of lower gradients, more stable flows and more suitable stream length in Interior streams.
