Abstract
- An interview with the Italian jazz singer Gaia Mattiuzzi is presented. Several topics are discussed, such as how she likes to improvise when she is singing jazz music, how the jazz singers Meredith Monk, Greetje Bijma, and Cathy Berberian are her musical inspirations, as well as how the singer and member of the Skoda International All Stars jazz band, Maria Pia de Vito, was one of her voice teachers. Also mentioned is her band with the percussionist Francesco Cusa, called the Skinshout-Duo.
