Abstract

The article discusses the relationship between marketing for Belgian beer and the use of the image of monasteries and monastery life. Topics discussed include the historical brewing of beer by monasteries, the association of monasteries and Belgian beer as a historic alliance of high quality, and the rules of using the monastic image to promote Belgian beers.
