The article discusses the future of the Piedmont region in Italy, through the presentation and discussion of materials in the author's collection related to the historical aspects of the region, with reference to urbanism, architectonics, socioeconomic factors, and industry. Topics discussed include artistic images of the region related to the introduction of electricity, health and well being of residents, and changes in city architecture; architectural styles found in the region, and urban landscape monuments.
