Abstract
- The article discusses the cases of ataxia-telangiectasia (AT) and ataxia with ataxia with oculomotor apraxia type 2 (AOA2). The first case involves a 28-year-old man who reported a progressively worsening balance. The second case involves a 20-year-old woman who experienced unsteady walking, deteriorating writing and speech slurring. The third case involves a 9-year-old boy who experienced unsteady walking and frequent falls. These cases manifest the link between serum alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) and recessive ataxia.
