Abstract
- The article offers the author's view on an essay by Susan Ang about the book "English Music," by Peter Ackroyd. It mentions that the thought-provoking reading of Ang about the book is based on a double assumption. The author argues that the approach of Ang towards the novel that combines metafiction and myth establish the most salient features in Ackroyd's fictional work. Moreover, the author also discusses Ang's argumentation about the book through the elaboration on the main points and offering alternative readings.
