Abstract: The article offers information on the correlation of cardiovascular disease and Down syndrome. It highlights intrauterine interventions, prenatal screening and management of congenital heart defects in early childhood. In addition, cardiovascular manifestations in adulthood is also discussed, particularly cardiac surgery and pulmonary arterial hypertension in adults having Down syndrome.
