Abstract

The article focuses on the factors that should be considered to prevent hazards and catastrophes when repairing natural gas pipes. It says that planning with people involved, skills, and resources required should be made before the repair. It says that lubricated plug valves of the piping must be applied with sealant annually to prevent leaks. It adds that pressure tests that are consistent or stringent than the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 54 code must be made after the repair.
