Polymorphism of GDF9 gene and its relationship with litter size and growth weight of xinong shaaneng dairy goat and boer goat.

The article presents a study on the relationship between growth differentiation factor 9 (GDF9) genetic polymorphism and boer goat and xinong shaaneng dairy goat's growth weight and litter size. It states that sequencing was used to analyze the genetic variation, meanwhile least square was applied to analyze the relation between the litter size and growth weight, and different genotypes. Results show that different genotypes of GDF9 gene can affect the litter size among goat breeds.
