Abstract
- The article examines the influence of German philosopher Abraham Calov on fellow German philosopher Immanuel Kant's evaluations of Aristotelian and Scholastic teachings. More specifically, the author investigates Calov's role in shaping Kant's philosophical understandings of metaphysics and transcendental philosophy. Kant's ontological thought on the notions of being and nothingness are also outlined, as well as his epistemological system of architectonics. In order to account for this alleged influence, the author explains the teaching of Calov's work in German universities.
